Sirloin Steak with Bordelaise Sauce

Sirloin Steak with Bordelaise Sauce! It's a classic and it can't be beaten! Serve with Jersey Royals, Green Salad and Asparagus!

Ingreadient :
    • 2 x 200g sirloin steaks
    • 25ml vegetable  oil
    • ½ bulb garlic
    • Few sprigs fresh thyme
    • 25g butter
    • Salt and pepper
    • 25g butter
    • 2 shallots, peeled and diced
    • 200ml red wine
    • 300ml veal jus
    • Steak fat, diced
    • Jersey royals
    • Mixed green salad
    • Asparagus
Direction :
    1. Preheat the oven to 200C
    2. Pan fry the steaks in oil with the garlic for 2 minutes on each side, season, then pop in the oven for 5 minutes. After, coat in butter and rest on a tray.
    3. To make the sauce, use the steak pan to fry the shallots and garlic in a splash of vegetable oil. Then, add the wine and stock, and reduce by half. Finish with a knob of butter.
    4. Spoon the potatoes and asparagus onto plates, slice the steaks and sit alongside. Top with the sauce and sit the salad alongside.
