Pasta Ragout

This lovely Pasta Ragout is a recipe that the whole family will love. Slow cooked over 2-3 hours it is rich and tasty and really easy to make!

Ingreadient :
    • Spaghetti

    For the ragout

    • 500g mince beef
    • 500g minced pork
    • 1 onion, peeled and diced
    • 3 garlic cloves, crushed
    • 2 carrots, diced
    • 1 leek, diced
    • 3 bay leaves
    • 2 sticks celery, diced
    • 400g tinned chopped tomatoes
    • 2 tbsp tomato puree

    To finish

    • Grated parmesan
Direction :
    1. Blitz the onion garlic carrot leek celery in a food processor.
    2. To make the ragout, heat a large pan and drizzle in the oil. Add the onion, carrot, celery, leek, garlic, bay and tomato puree. Cook out for a few minutes.
    3. Add the meats then the wine and tinned tomatoes. Cook for 2 to 3 hours simmering gently.
    4. Cook the pasta in boiling salted water as per pack instructions. Spoon into the ragout, grate over the cheese and serve.
