Apple Cake

This lovely, simple apple cake will be loved by all! James used ingredients from The Random Apple Company to make this cake!

Ingreadient :
    • 250g butter, softened
    • 250g caster sugar
    • 5 eggs
    • 250g self raising flour
    • 1 apple, cored and grated
    • 1 apple, thinly sliced
    • 100ml apple juice
    • 400g icing sugar, sifted
    • 500ml double cream, whipped to soft peaks
Direction :
    1. Preheat oven to 170c.
    2. In an electric mixer fitted with a K beater, mix the butter and sugar until pale and white in colour.
    3. Add the eggs, then fold in the flour and the grated apples.
    4. Grease and line a 23cm round cake tin. Spoon the mix in then top with the sliced apples and  bake for 40 minutes. Cool then split in ½ horizontally.
    5. To make the glaze, whisk the icing sugar and juice together and drizzle over the top of the cake.
